  • FlightController : the electronic device mounted in the aircraft. Such device can be a Revolution, Seppuku, SPRF3E, etc.. Sometime the flight-controller is called "target".
  • GCS (a.k.a Ground Station) : the software loaded on your computer, laptop or even android device and used to setup the flight-controller.
  • Aircraft : the vehicle (quadcopter, plane, etc.) the flight-controller is installed in.
  • Bootloader : the portion of software that manages the hardware of the flight controller.
  • Firmware : the portion of software that drives the logic of the flight controller.
  • Release : software "released" to the public, i.e that was thouroughly tested and as such can be used by everybody. By contrast a "Preview" is a software that should be used with caution as it has not been fully tested yet.
