@possumbilities I would like to take ownership of the task to convert the "submit resource" and "see all" links into buttons. Enhancing them with CSS features such as borders, shadows, border radius, and subtle transitions would improve their visual appeal and usability. Please assign this task to me so I can begin working on it.

For anyone that wants to work on this, I would suggest you offer descriptions and/or examples for how you would implement such a button visually. So that's there's more clarity before this issue moves to status: ready for work.

At the moment, I think there's value in it being a button, but I think some kind of discussion and review of what that means from a UX perspective is useful before PRs are submitted with final reesults.

I'm in favor of improving this functionality, especially for first-time visitors. Currently, the submission link lacks appeal and styling. I've worked on implementing a button with better design, featuring an arrow symbolizing its functionality. The button not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides a clear indication of its purpose. I believe this change will greatly improve the user experience on the website.

Hey @possumbilities ,

Implementing a button would indeed be a great idea because -

  1. It will draw user's attention better than a link would.
  2. It aligns with the call-to-action principles.

However, I don't think a big green solid button would suffice, as those buttons are generally used to signify that a submit action will take place, which is not the function in our case. We are routing users to a submission form page where they will be able to submit resources. I think a hollow button, or something with a lighter background would be more appropriate.

Also, I think the text "Submit a resource" can be changed to something more simple like "Contribute Resources". It signifies that to contribute resources, follow the upcoming steps (in our case fill the form) rather than bluntly hitting them with the word "submit" on the main page. This is just my opinion, but if you think "Submit a resource" is better, we can go ahead with that too.

Now, from the visual design pov, I looked for some buttons on the creativecommons page to have consistent ui,
And I think these 2 options can work.

contribute resources

  1. A hollow button in the center of the page. (button inspiration taken from the view button and more posts from the creative commons page, all small letters to replicate the similarity, can be changed if needed)

  1. A button at the top right along with "explore cc", just like other buttons at the creative commons page.

I think the latter option is better, because the page has filters, displays content according to users requirements, resource cards are being displayed on the main page, and "Contribute resources" is kinda in the way, breaking the flow of the page. So giving it a seperate spot on the right give it a little bit seperation from the main action going on.
And on the creative commons page, there is donate button along with explore cc, and i guess contributing a resource is a similar action.

Let me know your thoughts.
