The pasta bug has nothing to do with /var/tmp, it fails on /tmp also:

           $ podman [options] run --network n11bdd3f5a7940d15622d2560b81d91e29992365ed6bc57a0f312ce13183c8b806 --mac-address 92:d0:c6:00:29:34 quay.io/libpod/alpine:latest ip addr
           Error: setting up Pasta: pasta failed with exit code 1:
           Couldn't open network namespace /tmp/podman-e2e-3800923020/subtest-2923014207/runroot/networks/rootless-netns/rootless-netns: Permission denied

Fine, I give up.
