Some benchmarks taken on the lone system I own that has AES and AVX in the FPA.

Used the default system compiler (Sun C++ v5.15 of ProWorks 12.6) for this, and have some local patches in my own repo. Probably of very little general interest, just wanted to post some recent stats.

Seems pretty slow compared to an i7/i9 - what kind of CPU is this?

Oh, OK - that's an old CPU, so that is actually in line with what I would expect (although I haven't profiled Bulldozer CPUs specifically myself).
