Research Co ordination: Planning your Interviews

Behind the scenes preparation by the core team

After Interviewers have been trained there are behind the scenes coordinations to schedule interviews between trained interviewers and the Interviewees.

Pre-Scheduling

1. All interviews must comply with CfA Code of Conduct
2. Use a software like Calendly to plan your Interview schedule.
3. Following these instructions* ensures that interviews are tracked, that each incoming interview is assigned to an interviewer, and that each interviewee receives a copy of their interview responses.

Scheduling Communications

4. You will need to contact your Potential Interviewees. Here is the communication we used to schedule interviews what to message Brigade Leaders to arrange an interview

After the Interview

5. Currently an email comes to the BOP account and is forwarded to the core team for processing (details to be provided later)

6. Ensure that the interview recordings and auto-transcriptions are organized and accessible. Here are the instructions for setting up the Otter.ai*

7. Create the transcription sheet and update our internal Tracking sheet*

8. Pre-fill Transcription Sheets* for the UXRs. This ensures that transcription sheets contain all the interview data and are ready for transcription verification and research analysis.
