Research Co ordination: Planning your Interviews
After Interviewers have been trained there are behind the scenes coordinations to schedule interviews between trained interviewers and the Interviewees.
* Some of the documents on this Page are currently marked as project core team eyes only. We are in the process of identifying which documents we can make public. If you would like access to our drive so that you can replicate this project or its tools, please reach out to Bonnie Wolfe on the CfA Slack (see Joining the team for details).
** All the steps are currently represented in the issue template called Issue: Interview Priority Analysis
- All interviews must comply with CfA Code of Conduct
- Use a software like Calendly to plan your Interview schedule.
- Following these instructions* ensures that interviews are tracked, that each incoming interview is assigned to an interviewer, and that each interviewee receives a copy of their interview responses.
- You will need to contact your Potential Interviewees. Here is the communication we used to schedule interviews what to message Brigade Leaders to arrange an interview
-
Currently an email comes to the BOP account and is forwarded to the core team for processing (details to be provided later)
-
Ensure that the interview recordings and auto-transcriptions are organized and accessible. Here are the instructions for setting up the Otter.ai*
-
Create the transcription sheet and update our internal Tracking sheet*
-
Pre-fill Transcription Sheets* for the UXRs. This ensures that transcription sheets contain all the interview data and are ready for transcription verification and research analysis.
- Prepping the Github issue to be assigned to a UX researcher. Github Issue assignment and walk through
Example of a completed issue that tracked the work at each step, and which lays out instructions for communicating to the team and how to do the work: https://github.com/codeforamerica/brigade-playbook/issues/83
