Latest blocklist update (v21.08(31)) caused several lists to no longer work. Hosts defined in Facebook (Block List Project), and the AVG + Avast list are no longer being blocked. It's acting as if they are not enabled even though they are. I haven't tested all the lists, but I suspect more are also being excluded.

UPDATE
Lists that aren't enabled are showing up in the logs on blocked hosts. For example, I don't have the Tik-Tok list enabled, but I'm seeing blocked queries being attributed to the Tik-Tok list.

EDIT
I did some more testing and found that the new Blocklist Project lists are not being applied despite being selected. Queries that should be blocked by these lists are sailing through without resistance. That AVG + Avast list is also not being applied properly. As with the Blocklist Project lists, you can select the list, but it's not blocking hosts contained in the list.

Can you please see if a re-download / update fixes what you're seeing?

If not, can you copy paste your blocklist configuration (there's a "copy" button near "advanced view" on the blocklists webpage at the top which copies the configuration to the clipboard) and domains to test the configuration with?

Thanks.

v053f looks to have resolved the issue for OP. OP: re-open if I am mistaken. Thanks.

Just yesterday, we pushed improvements on the server-side to further fix other blocklist update related issues.
