Welcome to the wiki for ccg’s fork of GNOME’s Metacity window manager.

So far, the only thing I’m interested in changing is the window-placement algorithm. I’m putting my work in separate branches. For example, the gnome project has a gnome-2-26 branch in metacity’s repository on git.gnome.org. I created a gnome-2-26-center-placement branch here on github that holds my modifications. If I put those modifications into other branches from gnome (e.g., for older versions, like the gnome-2-24 branch), I’ll create *-center-placement branches for them too.

Of course, if you’re interested in doing something else, I think it’s still useful to have a copy of the repository from git.gnome.org here on github so those of us without commit access to the gnome project can still push and pull changes.
