Summary

Init6 is a chat protocol designed for warring. It has its roots in the Classic Battle.net™ community.

Connecting to Init6

Ensure you are running at least BNRBot v2.8.0.52, Init6 is not supported below this version.

  1. Open the configuration window (Hotkey: F3)
  2. Create a new profile or select an existing profile
  3. Change the product to 'Telnet' (CHAT)
  4. Tick the 'Init 6 Protocol' checkbox
  5. Reconnect the profile

Text encoding

Currently Init6 does not support UTF-8 encoding, so to be compatible, it's recommended to disable UTF-8 encoding for the profile connecting to Init6.

  1. Open the configuration window (Hotkey: F3)
  2. Select the profile that connects to Init6
  3. Untick 'Enable UTF-8' in the series of checkboxes at the bottom

Note that the //lenny and //shrug commands do not display well without UTF-8.
