Select your stash and controller accounts.
- Stash: This account holds funds bonded for staking, but delegates some functions to a Controller. As a result, you may actively participate with a Stash key kept in a cold wallet, meaning it stays offline all the time.
- Controller: This account acts on behalf of the Stash account, signalling decisions about nominating. It set preferences like payout account. It only needs enough funds to pay transaction fees.
For more info on accounts, view Accounts - Polkadot Wiki.
-
Check the delcaration box
-
Click submit
-
You'll be prompted by PolkadotJS wallet to sign the transaction for staking.
Enter your password and sign the transaction.
-
Congratulations, you're now participating on the network as a nominator.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Since the project is currently under development, there's no changes that occur on the UI after submitting the transaction - to see the hash for the transaction, open your browser console and you should be able to find the hash starting with "0x".To see if the transaction succeeded or not, you could use Polkascan - https://polkascan.io/pre/kusama/transaction/
We'll be adding a nominator's dashboard UI for users to manage stake in Milestone 2 which will address this concern.
