Spanish translation fails on some pages

Hello

translate to spanish in reddit always fails, I think it doesn't detect the english language, if I manually select english, it translates to spanish without fail, but sometimes it takes too long to translate.

this happens in other pages as well, but others translate without problems.
another page where it always fails is on the steam forums.

I have tried without shields and without extensions and it still fails, I have also tried in chrome and it works fine.

In certain pages the detect language feature of the browser isn't working. In reddit for example I had to select a language to be translated.
