A list of things that could be improved, but there are some obstacles (e. g. lack of time)

Design

• translate the app to English (Abstraction over language #228, Basic english localization #88)
• prompt user to update via Play Core library
• theory: icons in the top bar: glide out of "Other functions" on big screens
• theory: add Romanian numbers to Golubina course
• theory: annotate all steps with the number sign and let user to choose whether he wants to hide it (see this comment). This directly contradicts with VN suggestions. Also think about refactoring some ShowMarker steps (see this comment)
• practice, symbols: add number sign before each digit (see Put a number sign in front of each number or digit #305 and put number sign in Practice #318)
• practice: make adaptive engine: if the user makes mistakes in a card, give it more often (Weights of memorization in practice #62)
• fix toast duration Fix too big toast duration #214 (better off avoid toasts whenever possible)
• reformat practice settings: make "only learned in the course" switch closer to practice (Move "use only known letters in practice" from settings to card menu #203 Feature/use known option #207, objections in comments to that pull request)
• add symbols that are represented by 2 Braille cells (e. g. fractions)
• TODO add an issue for this, maybe it is worth implementing! use Braille Font: (? make our own for Cyrillic/greek/others):

  • add icons (Braille symbols) in the list in the materials browser
  • inputChars in GolubinaCourse.kt: make fragment with a preview for the word
• materials browser: add sections (decks) and search
• proposed by user add the dark theme (+ as we intended from the beginning - add themes for different types of disabilities)
• Musical symbols: add their Unicode symbols (♯, ♭, ♮, ...) but do not read them by TalkBack (see this comment on the PR)
• proposed by BrailleSymbols beta-tester add mode when user enters symbol "from a blank sheet" and the program tells which symbol he has entered

Development

• CI: test on Firebase TestLab
• generate ADB instead of APK
• add environmental variables: Check not using developers course #266 (review), Fix test course in dev #265
• calculate coverage and add codecov.io badge

• cleanup: remove speech recognition (Remove speech recognition #258) (done) (maybe use this experience to add an experimental feature in Practice - when there is an internet connection, add a possibility to answer in speech, like "dots one, two, three")
• proposed by VN & Alexei Viktorovich develop an IOS app
• ask 3rd course to develop an IOS app (on Flutter?)
