jQuery getChar takes a key event and returns the ASCII charCode for that event.

Example Usage:

$(document).keydown(function(e) {
    var char = $.getChar(e);
        
    console.log(char);
    console.log(String.fromCharCode(char));
});

This will log the character code and it's corresponding string representation.
