The Baltimore Sun conducted an analysis of county-level population estimates for the state of Maryland — with a focus on the city of Baltimore — for a story published April 18, 2019 titled "Baltimore sees biggest population loss in single year since 2001, census estimates show" (print headline: "People continue to leave Baltimore").
