XSHOODATA -- points at the directory of raw data
XSHTOOLS -- directory for these scripts
XDIR -- data directory (includes pipeline-reduced data, quality check plots and final calibrated data)
XDIRRED -- sub-directory of XDIR where pipeline-reduced data are

OBSDB -- environment variable pointing to the database with all observations (see my project esodb)
