hey there reader

I'm alfredo. I am Curious about technical stuff and philosophy.

Ever since I touched my first computer I've been endlessly curious about how things work. I have had many roles in companies, from Data Engineer or Backend engineer to Tech Lead. Overall I've gather a pretty robust knowledge, with around 9 years of IT experience.

I am extremely enthusiastic about Infrastructure and DevOps. I maintain and work with my homelab, which runs all kinds of majestic tech, like Kubernetes, Data Visualization with Grafana, Metrics with Open Telemetry. But I am most passionate about backend technologies, distributed systems and scalability. Difficult problems usually keep me up at night and I find it very fun.

I speak several languages, most notoriously Python and Golang. However, I can confidently say I am well versed in at least the following:
