Metamask and other wallets interact with the rpc in very particular ways.

Changes:

  • Allow block numbers other than latest for all rpc calls
  • Cache old ExecutionPayloads for fetching historical calls
  • Keep track of head block in Client
  • Support net_version
  • Support eth_getBlockByNumber
