Selected text resets when expanding selection past end of post

Description

When selecting text in the last paragraph past the end of the content, then back into the last paragraph, the selection will reset to the selection point when the cursor left the paragraph initially.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

1. Have a paragraph as the final block in the post editor
2. Select part of the last line
3. Move the cursor straight down the page
4. Move back into the paragraph at a different spot on the last line
5. Release the mouse
6. Selection will be the same as in step 2
