Minotaur is a JavaScript and HTML5 a software that allows you to use your phone's sensors to build underwater cave routes. Using sensor data and AI, you can get an amazing accuracy of 2-3%. On closed routes using diver propulsion vehicle(DPV) the accuracy reaches 1%. Without experience in use and calibration, the Minotaur will produce a result with an accuracy in the neighborhood of 4%
Minotaur has a module for route recording, editing and viewing. Routes can be processed and cleaned of sensors fluctuations and deviations. Routes can be assembled into a complex system. Circular routes are supported. Minotaur also has a built-in viewer of finished routes on the world map. Google's open GPX format allows routes to be edited in thousands of other programs and services. Exchange with any geodetic mapping system in the world. This gives a wide range of possibilities for further placement and publication of routes of any kind and configuration for any purpose.
Install Minotaur on your phone. Place your phone in any underwater housing with Bluetooth access buttons. Using a simple compass calibration procedure and navigation rules you can now record underwater cave routes! The constant measurement mode allows you to take pictures regardless of location or difficult line positioning. This method of surveying is very fast, it is difficult to use in cramped, confined caves. It is necessary to move using a DPV scooter for the best mapping results.
