Time Tracking: MA-34

Identified in 7.7 regression testing

Logged-in users report they are experiencing this issue more frequently in 7.7+.

A portion of users are also experiencing a bug where after logging in to a 7.7 build after a clean install, they are not able to receive topic notifications until they opt out of said topic and re-subscribe in Profile->Notification Settings.

This is done when:

  • Logged in users able to receive all topic notification messages after a clean install
  • Topic notification toggle switches reflect the correct state in the user's remote profile DB

Quick Clarification: How does the 3rd point differ from the 1st point? Are topics unsubscribed after log out -> log in?

Hi @p8gonzal, I'll break the 3rd point into a separate issue.

#1181 is specific to logged-in users being unsubscribed from topics automatically, in error. We have not been able to reliably reproduce the bug. To work around the issue, the user would go to their Topic settings and opt out and then back into the topic to see those messages.
