v1.0.1
v1.0.0
With the release of 1.0.0, DawnVR will now be in maintenance mode, meaning there will not be any active development of new features (with some possible exceptions). Bug fixes may still be implemented from time to time.
Fixes
- (Remaster only) Fixed errors due to latest game update
v0.3.0 Beta
Fixes
- Add HDR to cutscene camera to fix banding
- Movement speed is now consistent between varying framerates.
- Movement speed may feel slightly different now, but it should allow for a smoother experience overall
- Fix calibrator height offset not working in locked position freeroam scenes
- Fix locked position freeroam scenes jumping around after every cutscene
- Fix the height calibrator taking in thumbstick positions as a button
- Fix random null reference error that can softlock the game during a loading screen
Features
- Remaster support
- Display Rachel's bracelet on the VR hand if that is chosen in episode 2 (hopefully)
- Add a preference to swap the movement and turning thumbsticks (
UserData/MelonPreferences.cfg
->MovementThumbstick
) - Add a preference to allow skipping any cutscene (
UserData/MelonPreferences.cfg
->AllowSkippingAnyCutscene
) - Opening the journal detaches the UI from the camera, allowing you to read it easier (if you don't like this, it can be disabled in MelonPreferences by changing
DetachUIOnJournalOpen
to false)
Known Issues
- (Remaster only, seemingly) The James' office scene has some issues with the phone, though it's still playable
- (Remaster only) Pre-rendered videos don't show in the cutscene box
- (Remaster only) Some broken t-poses and position issues in cutscenes
- These are issues from the remaster, not from the mod and I can't do anything about these
- (Remaster only) Mainly outdoor scenes have some performance issues, at least on my hardware
- These are issues from simply rendering the game in VR and is unrelated to the mod's code
If you encounter any issues with either the original or remaster, please let me know. A significant portion of the mod was reworked for remaster support.
Be sure to update your MelonLoader installation as some parts of the mod use newer MelonLoader features.
v0.2.1 Beta
- Fix the camera aspect ratio (This could be specific to my game settings, regardless it's fixed)
- Fix customization interaction rotation
- Enable HDR on cameras to fix some color banding (Brought up by JDSP#0759)
v0.2.0 Beta
Features:
- Allow people to toggle between using the cutscene box and having them render in VR
- Redirect any possible Unity errors to the MelonLoader console for easier troubleshooting
- Added a simple height calibrator for seated play
- Improved Vive Wand controls, you now have to hold the Left Grip to interact with objects, preventing movement while interacting
Bugs:
- Fix the amulet telescope scene in Farewell
- Fix an issue that may sometimes prevent levels from loading (Very inconsistent, so if you have any issues like this, let me know)
- Fix audio crackling that appeared in the Mill interior
- Fix the gamma slider in the video settings
v0.1.1 Beta
Small fixes
- Prevent the entire mod from breaking if the update check is unsuccessful.
