In 2014, I decided to try my hand at learning Java from an old college textbook. Not having a computer to code, I would use paper and pencil to solve textbook problems by the pool in between lifeguarding shifts. Fast-forward to today, and I've had the privilege to build software while getting a BS in Computer Science, working for a start-up, and as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
Right now, I'm currently doing freelance web development while looking for a full-time software engineering position.
Outside of studying and working on projects, I like to volunteer my time towards political movements advocating for human rights and climate justice.
