5.5.2 (new Monitoring data source selection algorithm)
AlienFX-GUI
:
- Monitoring software effect now uses other data source selection algorithm:
- If both "ESIF and BIOS sensors" and "Enable Fan control" disabled in Settings, only Windows-provided temperatures will be used for monitoring.
- If only "Enable fan control" enabled, fans RPM monitoring available.
- If only "ESIF and BIOS sensors" enabled, both ESIF temperatures and power consumption available for monitoring.
- If both "ESIF and BIOS sensors" and "Enable Fan control" enabled, both RPM, Power, ESIF temperatures and ACPI BIOS (fans) temperatures available.
- Bug fixed: Serious issue with Incorrect light ID selection at "Devices" tab, providing inability to test and remove light for some situations.
Notes:
- I change monitoring settings because my system the hottest component is SSD(!) in some cases, but its temperature is not important for system health. So, disabling ESIF now disables it sensor reading as well, providing more correct temperature values, but with fan controls active.
- I have a report about the latest Windows 11 Insider build prevents fan driver loading. Don't use latest W11 builds upon future notification.
