Questions about the payment flow

Looks like hydrogen stores don't support Shopify payment in their own domain. You're required to send the user to the default shopify store in another domain and you can't authenticate the user (without shopify plus and multiplass). Is this right?

Is there any other way to use the convenience of shopify payments in a hydrogen store without having to redirect the user to another domain? Without redirecting the user the only way to use stripe and other payment providers is setting up them directly?

If you want to design your own checkout, you can use the Checkout mutation APIs but this is a lot of work.

Is there a problem with assigning Online Store as a subdomain of your Hydrogen store? For example, hydrogen.shop and checkout.hydrogen.shop (The Online Store for checkout)

Interesting. Just to confirm: to use these API we would need to send all the credit card information directly to be able to create a Payment object. Is this right?

Is there a problem with assigning Online Store as a subdomain

• we would need to block the other pages of the default online store so only the checkout page would be available
• we can't login the user automatically. So user may have to authenticate again or enter his shipping/billing details yet.
• the user would have to go to a different website, which may be inconvenient in a PWA context.
