As I have not played in the current tier, do you feel that these currencies are necessary to keep track of in future tiers as well? i.e. are both needed or necessary in the long term?

As far as I am aware the two currencies I replaced were removed during beta, so they were irrelevant to begin with. (Might be wrong about that but I've never seen anything in game on any of my 12 max level characters)

As for Titan Residuum, it is rewarded from the weekly mythic+ chest and used to buy azerite armour, it has been a very important currency for this expansion and will be continuing into 8.3.

Manapearls are the main currency in Nazjatar and are used to buy and upgrade benthic armour tokens (it was designed as a catch up mechanic for alts but certain socketed benthic gear even outperforms mythic ilvl pieces in the raid). You also need manapearls for profession items and toys/pets/mounts. The cosmetic stuff will still be somewhat relevant in 8.3 even if the benthic gear isn't.

This seems fine then.
