The goal of this release:

Support a modern software stack by releasing the tested dependency version constraints.

Release schedule target:

• Release candidate: 2016-10-21
• Final release: 2016-11-04

NOTE: At this point it appears that another release (v1.12) will be forthcoming around the middle of November (before 21st Nov). This knowledge should aid in avoiding the perpetual feature squeeze that comes around release time.
