Usually you simply want to install the latest version and keep up-to-date. In that case you simply need to install the add-on via one of the provided distribution channels.
Be sure to disable update checks for the RP add-on if you want to keep using the older version.
If you've built your own version of RequestPolicy [1], the generated XPI file is not signed [2]. You've got the following options to be able to use or test RequestPolicy:
- use SeaMonkey, which does not enforce signing
- install Firefox Nightly or Developer Edition and set
xpinstall.signatures.required
