Getting support

There are multiple different ways to reports problem and bugs and to get support, the main ones are:

When reporting issues and requesting support there are some basic things that will helps us identify and potentially fix any problems.

  1. Tell us about the system your using, what version of XBMC, what version of TraktUtilities, and what operating system.
  2. Try to describe the simplest situation which causes the problem
  3. Provide us with a copy of your XBMC debug log, REMEMBER TO REMOVE ANY PERSONAL DETAILS. This log file which is described here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_file can be found in these locations and is simply called "xbmc.log".
  • OSX/ATV /Users//Library/Logs/
  • Linux /home//.xbmc/temp/
  • Windows %APPDATA%\XBMC\
  • ATV2/iPad/iPhone /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/xbmc.log

NOTE: For it to be of most use please enable 'debug' in TraktUtilities settings (inside XBMC) before reproducing the problem and copying the log file.
