Description of Issue

Transparent materials have rendering artifacts on MacOS (Metal)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch USDView
  2. Open OpenUSD/pxr/usdImaging/usdImagingGL/testenv/testUsdImagingGLMaterialXBasic/mxGlass.usda
    from here

System Information (OS, Hardware)

MacOS - Metal, Ventura 13.6.1 (22G313)
MacBook Air, Apple M2

Package Versions

OpenUSD dev branch

Build Flags

python3 build_scripts/build_usd.py --build-variant release --tests $(pwd)/out/release
