Overview

This PR adds a notebook as part of the tutorial series, for bias-correction of climate data and using that data in a hydrological modelling scenario. Basically, we tie the data extraction, bias-correction and hydrological modelling steps into a single continuous package. We also show how to apply this to different climate models, reference datasets, and Raven model emulators.

Does not use any WPS, only ravenpy, xclim and data extraction from AmazonS3 and Google Cloud Services. Very efficient compared to using the ncml files from THREDDS.

Changes:

  • Added notebook "09_Hydrological_impacts_of_climate_change

Notes

  1. This is part of the tutorial series, and uses data from previous notebooks that are generated by the user. For example, we use a shapefile (input.geojson) which is generated at step 4 of the tutorial series and is present in the users workspace, but will fail if run independently.

  2. There are blocks of code here that could be transformed into functions in RavenPy or some other package, especially the CMIP6 and ERA5 accessing codes that are highly repetitive. To do in a future round of updating I guess!
