Technical Stuff

  1. Please check your Git configuration. Notably, you want your email to be the same as the one for your GitHub account: http://happygitwithr.com/hello-git.html
  2. Set up an SSH key to authenticate your local machine with GitHub: http://happygitwithr.com/ssh-keys.html
  3. Clone the course repo:
    https://help.github.com/articles/cloning-a-repository/

Logistical Stuff

  1. Find a partner (or not - you can work solo if you like.)
  2. Pick a paper. (or one will be assigned to you, DUN DUN DUN)
  3. Email me your GitHub account info.

Homework

  1. Make a new branch for your project team. (To avoid duplicate branch names, please start your branch name with your name/username, e.g. "hao-histogram-plots".)
  2. Make a new folder within projects/ for your project.
  3. Add a README to your project folder with the names of your group and the paper.
  4. Checkoff your name below.
