Issue running the npx hardhat init

While running the following command I encounter the following issues

npm install --save-dev hardhat@latest

Issues:

npm warn deprecated [email protected]: This module is not supported, and leaks memory. Do not use it. Check out lru-cache if you want a good and tested way to coalesce async requests by a key value, which is much more comprehensive and powerful.

After the following , I can see that the package.json was updated with the devDependencies as follows

}

After this, I run the following command which results in errors

npx hardhat init

Errors:

npm error code ERR_INVALID_URL
npm error Invalid URL

Neither the npm audit fix nor the npm audit fix --force seem to work

Hey folks,
The issue has been resolved. It turned out that the problem was with npx the system variables for npx were not set correctly.
