[Request] Restrict access to mail information #1080

I just updated an app that required a new permission: access mail information. This is what it looks like in Play Store:

Would it be possible to restrict this?

That library doesn't require the mentioned permission and simply uses SMTP to send a message.

@M66B in this case it was UCCW (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.vineetsirohi.customwidget). UCCW might need access to it in order to be able to show certain things, but it made me think that other apps that don't need it may use it as well. I've seen certain office apps use them too.

This permission doesn't seem to be very common, though.

It appears GMail has a provider:
https://developers.google.com/gmail/android/
