Create local kind cluster

kind create cluster --config cluster.yaml kind get clusters kind get nodes docker ps

Configure CLI access

kubectl cluster-info --context kind-kind cat $HOME/.kube/config kubectl version --short kubectl get nodes kubectl get --all-namespaces pods

Install User Interface

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/dashboard/v2.7.0/aio/deploy/recommended.yaml kubectl apply -f ui-service-account.yaml

kubectl proxy (in a different terminal) Go to http://localhost:8001/api/v1/namespaces/kubernetes-dashboard/services/https:kubernetes-dashboard:/proxy/#/login

kubectl -n kubernetes-dashboard create token admin-user

Imperative commands

kubectl run nginx --image=nginx kubectl run another-nginx --image=nginx

Declarative commands

kubectl create namespace example kubectl apply -f pod.yaml
