I am excited to introduce you to the alpha release of swiftGuard (v0.0.1)! While this is just the beginning of our journey, I believe swiftGuard has the potential to significantly enhance macOS security, and I am eager to have you on board.
Please keep in mind that this is still a work in progress. As a bioinformatics student, I have dedicated a considerable amount of time to its development, and I'm committed to further improvements.

Key Features

  • Continuous Monitoring: swiftGuard diligently watches over your macOS device's USB ports, even during sleep mode. It remains vigilant, ensuring no USB activity goes unnoticed.

  • Whitelisting: Simplify your workflow by whitelisting authorized devices, guaranteeing hassle-free connectivity.

  • Customizability and Lightweight: swiftGuard is designed to adapt to your preferences. Choose actions such as shutdown or hibernate, set a countdown timer, and enjoy a lightweight, resource-friendly experience.

  • Privacy: I prioritize your privacy, thus swiftGuard operates entirely offline, ensuring the security of your data.

  • Open Source: swiftGuard is open source, welcoming contributions from the community. Together, we can enhance macOS security.

Sincerely,

Notes

swiftGuard is still in the early stages of development, and your feedback is essential to its growth. While I am committed to making it a stable and reliable solution, please be aware that this is an alpha release, and there may be bugs, limitations and by far no perfect code.

If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for improvements, I encourage you to report them. Your input will play a crucial role in shaping the future of swiftGuard.

I appreciate your support and interest in swiftGuard. Your contributions and feedback will be invaluable as I continue to refine and expand this project.
