just look at this O.o
capture
Re installing and rebooting (not in that order) XD didn't help... that and a number of other issues plague this program for me right now...
for example the custom waveform browser in the channel lfo controller doesn't work. and when reloading a project with any vst plugin, the whole thing crashes O.o
capture

Does it happen in 0.9.91?

Because you're either using an old or corrupted theme which doesn't have
the necessary items for new versions of LMMS to function, or it is
simply caused by multiple parallel LMMS installations on a windows
system (like I said, windows doesn't play nice with parallel installations).

Remove all LMMS installations, run a registry cleanup for good measure,
then install the latest LMMS again from scratch. That should do it.

@DeRobyJ no 9.91 and all older versions work fine... that same project that crashes the 9x lmms's works in 0.4.15

@diizy you were right about the old stylesheet thing, adding that to my theme now... nice new icons and buttons BTW... only gripe about the theming lmms has now is the song editor hurts my eyes, i can't see notes or automation data anymore =(

@diizy https://github.com/diizy ok well i uninstalled everything
lmms and re installed 9.92, that seems to have fixed my project
compatibility issue but the other's still remain "the piano roll is
still unusable"

Make sure you're using the default theme that comes with LMMS.

If that doesn't help, there's probably some registry weirdness that you
need to sort out.

idk if you got my edit but i changed to the default theme css and it worked fine from there on out

Try moving the ~/lmmsrc.xml file to another location then start LMMS. These are the kind of regressions that Im worried about. All the developers have had their configuration migrate overtime or have fairly standard configs.

This is already a known issue, it's already been talked about
extensively on the mailing list.. the consensus seems to be that since
most users never have a situation where they have multiple installations
of LMMS at the same time (which is the only time this happens), this
isn't a critical issue and we don't need to worry about it too much.

This was just a problem which occurred because of the new GUI. It happens because different versions of LMMS share the same theme setting. We at the Facebook-page will advise people to be careful with installing versions side by side and will stand by to help people with the problem, so I consider it a problem we can work out quickly with the user :)

Could LMMS detect multiple versions installed and warn the user that it
will cause trouble?

Not really, I'm sorry. If you have multiple versions installed, it's up to you as a user to take care of the paths inside the configuration dialogs.
