Welcome to the TM-V71_TM-D710-Kenwood wiki!
I could say that the list is complete but as i'm not 100% sure i'm going to say that it's almost complete ;-)
For the TM-D710/RC-D710 i think i have all the commands even if not all of them are explained in details. For the TM-D710G i think the only change are the GPS commands that are just like the TH-D72
A bit of history: When i first discovered the commands in 2008? some thought it was just a few commands if any at all. I tried manually by using known commands from the TH-D7/TM-D700/TS-2000 and i got a hit. Then i used a hex editor on the firmware software and MCP and found a few others.
Then after big help from Martin LA8OKA who made the excel layout i made a software to log "all" the commands.
A simple software doing simple things like: Send a two letter command see if there are a response and then log Send a two letter command with one parameter, log response Send a two letter command with two parameters, log response The software started from AA and ended with ZZ
Then i got a list of commands and how it would like the parameters but no idea what they did.
With help from Martin and people on the Yahoo TM-D710/V71 group i made it public and we solved a few more parameters.
Mapping part of the menu commands required to change a setting on the radio and then issue a "read menu command" to see what changed.
Also tried sending three letters but found no commands.
So my disclaimer: I have not used my software on the TM-D710G or TH-D74. Maybe i should do this for the D74 as i have assumed that it's more or less identical as the TH-D72
What i do want is to map the complete file that MCP is sending to the radio. I started with this but the file is different on the E, K and A version (minor changes) and also a firmware change could change bytes. So this could "brick" the radio if people are sending this memory map to a different firmware even if the checksum is ok.
Regarding Github it's not a perfect solution for this type of document. But it's readable with every browser and easy to upgrade.
