Prometheus is a widely-used, open-source systems monitoring and alerting framework. It collects real-time, time-series system data, which can be interrogated or used to trigger alerts and actions.
The Kx Prometheus library allows kdb+ processes to provide metrics to Prometheus, allowing admins to easily monitor kdb+ as part of their wider infrastructure. The library is designed to be modifiable and extensible, so users can provide their own application-specific metrics to Prometheus.
