One or more datasets in Harvard Dataverse have handles that point to an error page instead of the dataset.

For example, https://hdl.handle.net/1902.1/00021 is the handle of the dataset at https://doi.org/10.7910/DVN/4MRH2N. And as of Oct 22, 2024, that handle points to a Not Found page instead of the dataset page.

Another dataset's handle, https://hdl.handle.net/1902.1/HIJLKAJELN, does lead to the dataset.

I'm not sure if:

@sbarbosadataverse also noticed that the handle that does point us to the dataset, https://hdl.handle.net/1902.1/HIJLKAJELN, redirects to https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataset.xhtml?persistentId=hdl:1902.1/HIJLKAJELN, where the persistentId in the URL is the handle. And she wondered if we should expect that handle to redirect to https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataset.xhtml?persistentId=doi:10.7910/DVN/RWFQKC instead, where the persistentId in the URL is the DOI.

2024/11/18: Note that this issue will need substantive investigation for troubleshooting. Re. sizing, please indicate how much time you anticipate for the investigation, not the implementation.
