Competition Statebox

Statebox uses Category Theory to model computations as Petri Nets.

Pros:

• They use very nice mathematics, that both enables them to do powerful things, and to prove programs correct.

Cons:

• They don't seem to currently consider many of the concerns weren't interested in, and many interesting DApps are not expressible within that computational model, but the model could probably be extended to address these issues if the authors were to care.
• They seem more oriented toward satisfying the tastes of the implementers than the needs of actual users. Hopefully for them, they will learn to listen to customers, at which point they might become a serious competitor.
