Redesign of the eartube to provide a more direct sound to the ear canal, and to ensure a better fit with the silicone tubing.

When printed in PLA, I found the 4/6 mm silicone tube to fit poorly with the eartube (which was too large). Furthermore, the end of the eartube was angled in such a way that little sound was actually transferred to my (and some others) ear canal. Both of these issues have been fixed in the redesign

Hi there,

Thank you so much for doing this and my sincere apologies for taking so long to properly comment. As you're probably aware, things have been quite hectic for the team.

I had started re-designing the eartube, but I think you've done a much better job. I printed a few of them and sent them out for review with a few people and will get back to you soon on this. Hopefully we can incorporate it into the main tree soon.

Thank you for your incredible work on this. It would be amazing to chat more and chat and thank you more in detail. My email is [email protected] if you'd like to connect offline.

Hi Tarek,

No worries.

I actually have done some redesign of my redesign, since I noticed my first design didn't always print that well. I should update these designs so you get a better version.

Hi!

Yes, please go ahead and update the pull. Also, what did you redesign in? If in openscad, can you include the SCAD file in your pull?

Not sure what your redesign looks like, but when trying to produce plates of these, it is difficult, especially in PETG, which is the new material we're moving to. Making it so that the taper isn't symmetrical at all aspects might be a way to address this for the base of the stem. That is to say, the end external diameter is the same, but it doesn't leave the print bed.

I also got your email and will respond today.

Hi,

It should be updated now! Could you verify that it prints well for you?

I've designed it in Fusion 360, so unfortunately no SCAD available.

I think you can convert from Fusion 360 file types to SCAD in FreeCAD using the OpenSCAD module, never tried it though
