• Ryan -- giving "Read The Docs" a try (Read The Docs is a free web-service that compiles sphinx documentation from source for you, therefor you don't have to commit the compile output, and just pass them the source. they use web-hooks to pull automatically from public github repositories.) https://fates-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/fates_tech_note.html# -- $20/month for readthedocs without ads. Add users-guide that has namelist and parameter file changing.
• Erik -- FYI CESM2.1 release code freeze is probably mid Septemberish, public in Octoberish.
• Erik -- FYI Branch with update for fates_next_api (fates_next_api currently is clm5.0.dev008)
• Erik -- Changes for #446 -- Top level will be FatesCold
• Erik -- FYI Latest NGEET/fates is sci.1.16.0_api.4.0.0 fates in CTSM is fates_s1.8.1_a3.0.0
• Erik -- What is status of FATES going public? -- Need some documents about good behavior for the science. Charlie will work on. We will talk about it in CTSM and adopt something similar. Have a single point for the critical things to read to start with (README pointing to COC).
• Erik -- Are there important issues or bugs that CTSM people need to know about? -- Stress deciduous trees, grasses Ryan will add a wiki page for dangerous features...
