What happened?

While testing for the cam6_3_159 tag, I had two tests that had unexpected answer changes:
SMS_Ld1.f09_f09_mg17.FCHIST_GC.derecho_intel.cam-outfrq1d (Overall: DIFF) details:
SMS_Lh12.f09_f09_mg17.FCSD_HCO.derecho_intel.cam-outfrq3h (Overall: DIFF) details:

Note that in the first set of aux_cam tests, the second test did produce B4B baseline compares. However, it failed the second time I ran the tests.

What are the steps to reproduce the bug?

On Derecho
Check out cam6_3_158 or later (my testing done with what will become cam6_3_159).
Run ./manage_externals/checkout_externals
go to cime/scripts
run qcmd -- ./create_test
run qcmd -- ./create_test SMS_Ld1.f09_f09_mg17.FCHIST_GC.derecho_intel.cam-outfrq1d --compare /glade/campaign/cesm/community/amwg/cam_baselines/cam6_3_158
View results in /glade/derecho/scratch/[user] space

Change the baseline comparison directory to match the tag being checked out. Change the test name to either test in the "What happend?" section.
