3. Flashing your ATV

Here is the step by step tutorial that should work to flash the supported devices:

Majority has reported having successfully flashed their ATV's with a PC meeting the following:

  • OS: Windows
  • CPU: Intel
  • USB: USB-A to USB-A cable

That doesn't mean others OS, CPU, USB cables will not work. It's up to you to find the best way to flash your ATV.

Flash tool

First of all you need to install the Amlogic USB Burning Tool (Flash Tool).

Once installed, you can open it and set the language to english if not set.

Now depending on your device, you will have to connect the PC to the ATV with the USB cable while holding the reset button on it.

⚠️ Each ATV has only one USB port that will work to flash it:

X96 mini - The USB port near the flash button

A95XF1 - The USB port near the power supply entry

TX9S - The USB port near the ethernet port

If you successfully connected your ATV to your PC, you should hear a sound on your PC and you should see on the Flash tool "Connected success" as the image below.

Now on the Flash tool go to "File", then "Import image" and provide the ROM specific to your ATV.

⚠️ If you flashing a X96 mini Q6X 4.0 (New gen) disable "Erase bootloader" option.

Once done, you can hit "Start" and wait until it shows "100%:Burning successfully".

Your device is now flashed, you can disconnect it from the USB. Don't plug it yet!
