  • My classic IP address keeps changing:

Most routers have the option to reserve an IP address, you should reserve your classic IP address so it doesn't change.

  • Auto discovery is not working:

Auto discovery relies on the UDP multicast protocol which might be blocked over wifi on some routers. After a reboot, your classic will broadcast it's IP address over UDP on your local subnet. You could try installing a UDP listener app from Google play to see if your device can receive the broadcast from the classic.

  • Most of the time the app doesn't want to connect to the controller.
  • Make sure you are using the latest firmware version (2193) in your classic. Older versions had a number of communication issues.
  • The classic only supports one network connection at a time, make sure you are not using the local app at the same time.
  • Try using a short ethernet cable from your classic to an ethernet switch next to your classic that is then connected to your wifi router. Your classic is powered by your battery and your wifi router might be powered by the grid or inverter, the classic may not be able to send data over a long cable due to differences in the supply voltages.

  • The Hour Log chart displays a sine wave or is incorrect
  • A sine wave indicates that no log data was downloaded from the classic.
  • Make sure your classic's clock has the date/time set correctly using the Local App.
  • You can reset the timestamp of the last upload time in the settings of the app, this will cause it to reload all available data from the classic.
