Releases: Cat-Lady/Boarding-Enhancements
4.1 - Boarding Rainmaker
4.0 - Upscaled Boarding
This is another fairly big release:
- All types of grenades got new, improved assets (blue-capped stun grenades, brown'ish capped tear gas ones).
- Most of other assets were improved via various degree of re-touch.
- All outfits got @2x sized version, for high-dpi screens - for images where high resolution assets were lacking, neural network was trained and (finally) used for upscaling, then a manual retouch added. Results are - iny my humble opinion - nothing short of spectacular.
If you are using BetterBoardingPirates too, be sure to update other plugin too, preferably, at same time (to avoid mismatch sneaking into save file).
As always, be sure to read install instructions from the README, if you are just starting to use the plugin - especially, the parts about replacing vanilla files.
Enjoy!
3.1.1 - Marauding Tactical Fix
This is another bugfix release, smashing yet another issue with Marauder Falcons/Leviathans sporting ATBS. Hopefully, this time they are fixed for good.
Enjoy!
3.1 - Tactical Fix
This is a bugfix release - Some Marauder variants had typo in their "Advanced Tactical Battle Suit" carrying variants. This have been remedied, alongside yet another fix for Mule variants.
Given that the Marauder bug was affecting "Better Boarding Pirates" too, be sure to update both plugins - preferably, at same time - if you're using them in tandem!
Cheers,
3.0 - New Assets
This is a fairly big update:
- Assault Rifle become Assault Heavy Laser Rifle and got new assets.
- Syndicate's Blaster Rifle got new assets, and is now immediately recognizable as blaster weapon.
- Battle Armour got new assets, incorporating (modified) new Laser Rifle image from vanilla.
- Advanced Tactical Battle Suit now sports Assault Plasma Rifle as part of the set, obviously, sporting new asset.
Apart from that, Large Armory now requires Navy License, while small Armory is restricted to Militia at least. Of course, they can be still obtained alongside ships sporting them - either legitimate owners, or pirates/marauders.
Last but not least, Mule variants containing BE outfits have been synced with vanilla's post-nerf Mule.
Have fun!
2.3 - BetterBoardingPirates and Marauders
This release fixes chance of few Advanced Tactical Battle Suits being on board of Marauder Leviathans focused on Weapon upgrades - akin to already present same chance for Marauder Falcons (Weapons).
The big news, though, is that the plugin got fully (yet, optionally) integrated with BetterVanillaPirates plugin - in form of special version of the latter, a , that ensures all new pirates and pirate/marauder fleets have chance of using new outfits, akin to vanilla game stuff.
If you were using BetterVanillaPirates already, be sure to remove the "basic" version of the plugin first (details in BBP installation instructions). Otherwise, I strongly recommend the plugin (with or without Boarding Enhancements, but best when using both, integrated) - it is work of a very high quality, so shot-out to ZBok, creator of the BVP.
Enjoy!
2.2.1 - HARDWARE ERRATA
This is a bugfix release. It was discovered that editing some things (namely: vanilla ships, vanilla outfits, and vanilla missions) from plugin framework actually doesn't work. For Boarding Enhancement plugin, the "vanilla ships" part apply for most basic Marauder vessels variants - in order for them to properly contain new outfits, replacing single file in vanilla directory is requires.
This release add said file, installation instructions in main page have been updated, too.
Hopefully, this is a temporary workaround. Mainstream ES is already notified of the problem, and there is chance for it to be fixed in future ES releases, in which case the replace won't be needed anymore - I will surely publish a new version, when that will become the case.
2.2 - Syndicate Restructuring
This release fixes a serious problem with Syndicate's outfitters - accidentally, a code relict from times of the plugin being H2H outfits sneaked in, replacing syndicate offer with pre-Proton Turret one (sorry!). This is now fixed (and safeguarded for future).
Enjoy blasting the sky with mass-produced goods that everyone loves (to hate).
2.1.1 - Unplunderable Armory
This is a bugfix release - it properly marks Large and Small Armory as "unplunderable" (like every other boarding weapon and outfit), meaning that you won't be able to steal them from ships you want to board just before committing assault. Of course, they can still be gained alongside captured ships.
Happy boarding!
2.1 - Endless Developments
This is a minor release that updated Quicksilver (Mark II) layouts to be in match with Endless Sky 0.9.10. Enjoy!
