Exporting a grid based file?

When using the UI, we can "show cells", and as the mouse hovers it shows the cell information in X, Y coordinates. Would it be feasible to export this grid based information as a companion to the full file?

So, I'm looking for something that easily maps x/y to cell id, something like this:

I could always finish this off and just run it in console, but a button that exports this file would be dope.

That's a very specific request. As long as you can get it from data, it should be enough, we cannot create a button for possible each use case.

That's fair. Am I missing a way to get this data directly from the already available file? I admit to not understanding the voronoi structure, but I don't really see any easy way to map x,y to a cell.

You can do it from the file as it has all required data. Generally you just need to calculate the closest point of the pack graph (coords are in pack.cells.p) to your [x, y] point. You can brute force it, or you can build a quadtree to optimise this search drastically.
