To share a room with other players, you can do one of these three things:

  1. Give them the URL.
  2. On the Players tab on the left-side menu, click the Share Room URL button for options to use email and social media accounts. Remember, anyone with the room link can edit or delete a custom game.
  3. Download and give them the .vtt file.

You cannot share a link to an in-progress game.

If you want to share a custom game (this also works for public library games) without letting the player have access to the source room, then select the game from the Game Shelf. Click on the hamburger (3 lines) button and then the Share Link button. On the overlay that appears, copy and share the link or use the Share button.

  • For custom games, other players will be able to play and modify your game, but will NOT know the room the game is in and therefore will not have access to the original source. Any changes you make to the game you linked will automatically take effect the next time other players open the linked game. If you delete the linked game, the others will no longer have access to it (unless they have made their own copy).
  • For public library games, this method is simply a convenient way to allow players to access a public library game directly without having to find the game in the public library database.

If you want to share a custom game with the Discord community, post the .vtt file in the #sharing-games channel on Discord. The game will get pinned in that thread.
