Scan2Folder is a small program especially for HP-MFP CM1312 printers.
But this program may work with other HP-MFP printers as well.
The HP-MFP printers are network printers with a nice feature so called: Print to Folder.
This feature has its own button, but if you are using Linux this feature unfortunately is not available.
But with this tool you can use this button with Linux as well.
In the Settings Dialog you can define some image enhancement settings. These settings are stored and used automatically for each image you scan.
To set this enhancement values you have to start a scan process first. Then you scan an image and do your settings.
If you want to start an OCR-Process, you have to enable it in the settings menu.
The OCR-Process will do the following:
- Deskew the page
- Crop the image
- Check orientation
- Make a searchable PDF
Sometimes you want to select a region of a page, you can do that with the crop tool. Draw a rectangle over the region you want and save the values.
The Crop-Process will use this values for all pages!
- If the tool found a scanner it is listed in the scanner section
- Select a scan mode Black and White, Gray or Color
- Select a path where to store your images
- Define an image name
- Select a scan resolution
- Start the scan process
- Scan your document by using the Scan to Folder Button
- Stop the scan process, after you have scanned all pages
During the scan process all images have the same name.
If you want different names you have to stop first, change the name and start again
