changes seem to be LGTM. Just a suggestion that maybe the commit can be split into 2, one for black setup and the other is for the reformatted code changes.

On the one hand, I understand that 2 commits are easier to read, on the other, first commit then will not pass checks by itself, hence not self-contained. I prefer to leave this as is, especially, since it's less than 100 LOC.
