QubesNAS

Work here postponed further into the future when time is available

This concept is inspired by Joanna's recent Qubes to Qubes Air security methodology, which relies on Qubes servers, or sending to/from Qubes clients. Essentially this also stretches to private home-based NAS systems, which may become compromised and exploited. To keep a home based NAS system over the internet, it's therefore essential that it's protected by a system like Qubes.

Current no work has been done to realize any scripts and tricks for the purpose of a QubesNAS, however, Qubes Air is also a project for the future, this scripting project may pick up speed at the same time Qubes Air becomes realized by the Qubes developers.

If you haven't already, check out Joanna's post @ https://www.qubes-os.org/news/2018/01/22/qubes-air/ it's an interesting read about a planned work, to expand Qubes OS beyond just a single OS, essentially a network of Qubes OS's. Such a concept of decentralized secure Qubes OS 'Air' systems, of course, also includes private home based NAS systems.
